All booked out
I sent the book off last night. Phew. Gee it's hard to find a picture of champagne that isn't absurdly phallic. Not that I'm anti-phallus, totally, but really... anyway I diverge. The book is done! It is now in Oxford sitting on my editor's desk, and she's already emailed me about some tiny changes... why don't you have a glass of something and think of me.

Congrats, Meredith. Hope it gets rave reviews. My current reading -- Capote -- is full of reviewers and the way the writer reacts to their opinions. He took it hard if they were bad. I think people these days are less concerned. May be why the standard of reviewing is considered to have dropped. Probably not true.
Anyway, maybe we'll see it reviewed in the Australian Literary Review or somewhere handy.
